Dr. Varun Bharwad is honored to serve as Executive Director at American Muslim Community Clinics (AMCC), a nonprofit organization devoted to providing accessible and high-quality medical and dental care to underserved communities across Central Florida.

With an MD, MPH, and a PhD in Healthcare Administration in progress, Dr Bharwad brings together clinical expertise and strategic leadership to advance healthcare systems that are equitable, efficient, and people-centered. His mission is to bridge the gap between care and equity by improving service delivery, expanding programs, and fostering partnerships that create meaningful and lasting community impact.

Throughout his career, Dr Bharwad has worked at the intersection of medicine, public health policy, and executive management. From leading strategic initiatives at the Arthritis and Rheumatology Center to strengthening community-based care models, his focus has always been on innovation that uplifts both patients and providers.

At AMCC, he leads a multi-site network of dedicated clinicians, administrators, and volunteers who believe that compassionate care transforms lives. His leadership emphasizes sustainability, collaboration, and health equity as the foundation of every initiative.
